Important key for earning money from your writing

The next time you buy a book, or even think about buying one, ask yourself why. Did the book seem to have good information in its chapters? Did it have explanations for things that you've wondered about? Provide practical help for staying healthy, making more money, winning online poker, finding a good bargain in buying or selling a home or car, eating better, exercising?

The book that you picked up and leafed through was beneficial in some way. It satisfied a need.

So, as you brainstorm ideas for articles and books, ask yourself what reader need or needs they satisfy and what specific audience would benefit. Once you have that, you can and should add a twist, such as "being rich isn't all that it's cracked up to be." Then tailor your article's or book's contents to that perspective and its audience.

Also, pretend that you're an editor and ask yourself if you would commit some money to purchasing a given book.

Be honest. Think about your answers. If possible, communicate with your intended audience. Then commit yourself to your project. A sale should follow.
